We had a great time with Scuba Kraken! Ursula was very kind and patient. It was our first experience scuba diving and she made sure we were all comfortable and safe. Alan and Ursula were fantastic!!! My wife and myself are certified divers and got a great dive in and then joined 3 of our kids on their Discover Scuba dives. La mejor experiencia de buceo que he tenido, el personal de Scuba Kraken saben cuales son los mejores lugares para tener las mejores vistas, con mucha seguridad y el mejor conocimiento técnico, además de un trato excelente, te sientes como en casa, en el buceo de barco hundido pude ver rayas, en el nocturno muchas langostas y los cenotes muchas formaciones interesantes y un contraste de luces espectaculares, les recomiendo contactar a Alan el te dará las mejores opciones que se ajusten a tus objetivos

Gracias Ursula y Alan, fue una experiencia maravillosa, me gustó mucho la amabilidad, disposición y energía que tienen ambos. Yo solo había buceado una vez, por lo que me hicieron un curso teórico previamente y después en una playa a poca profundidad algunos ejercicios básicos para utilizar el equipo. Después fuimos en lancha a una barrera de coral, donde vimos peces y una tortuga, por último, fuimos a otro lugar donde pudimos ver una raya y otros peces muy hermosos. Me sentí muy cómoda con ambos, se agradece que no estén insistiendo en vender o cobrar cosas extra durante la actividad, lo que si hacen en otros tour y es muy agotador. De hecho las fotos que me tomaron las enviaron sin costo alguno (en Akumal me quisieron cobrar 600 pesos por enviarme las fotos). Vine a bucear para celebrar mi cumpleaños 30 y fue increíble ¡¡GRACIAS!!

Alan and Ursula are such excellent instructors. I went to puerto Morelos to become get my open water scuba certification. It was such a great experience and trip. My friend worked with Ursula while I worked with Alan! They were both thorough and made me feel safe and comfortable…also helped me with my slight fears of the ocean. They were very patient as I worked through the skills. We went to 4 different locations to dive and saw a variety of marine life including sea turtles (what I wanted to see most!). We had a wonderful experience and I will definitely be back with my family to dive again!

We went diving 2 days with Alan and Ursula and had a great experience. Very good equipment, relaxed and correct atmosphere. Most professional dive center we had in Mexico (after diving in Mahahual, Cozumel and Tulum).

Wonderful diving today with Alan in the cenotes of dos ojos. My first time diving cenotes which was a memorable experience and so unique to any other type of diving I've experienced. Big shout out to Alan who was so helpful and accomodated me on the dive last minute. Nothing was too much of a problem and extremely helpful. Also not to forget Ursula who was left to work at base but again so helpful.would definitely recommend and shall look them up if and when I am next in the area.

Hicimos la iniciación al buceo con Alan, primero un Discover Scuba Diving y como nos quedamos taaaan contentos y seguros de que estábamos en excelentes manos, decidimos hacer con él el curso de Open Water de Padi. The best dive shop in Puerto Morelos. If you want a personalized experience with small groups this is the place to go. Ursula and Alan are very nice, knowledgable about diving, and very accommodating to your schedule and needs.

I had a great time diving with Alan this week. It had been a long time (8 years!) since my last time, but Alan made sure I was comfortable with a short refresher before diving. We saw tons of fish and wildlife. Ursula was very responsive to any messages and was so nice to talk to. My husband and I will definitely be back to dive with them again!!

We had the best experience with Alan and Ursula while I finished my open water scuba certification. I will say - I am not a natural and both Alan and Ursula were super patient with me. I learned the required skills I needed for the certification while exploring the amazing reefs near Puerto Morelos. We saw sting rays, turtles, an octopus, a lobster, a reef shark and so many schools of colorful fish. It was incredible. I cannot thank Alan and Ursula enough for their continued patience, coaching/guidance and positive attitudes.

Safe, Professional, and Fun! Alan reached out to me when I was having a hard time finishing up a Scuba Diver -> Open Water Cert for my son. Alan made everything smooth and hassle free. He got my son certified, and then we did a total of 8 dives over 4 days between various locations off of Puret Morelos as well as Cozumel. Alan, or his amazing boss, Ursula, picked us up every day at our resort and the adventures were amazing. We also had very small dive groups - typically my son and I, either Alan or Ursala, and maybe one other diver at most. I have been to a fair number of dive shops and most are just about getting you in and out. I can honestly say that Alan and Ursula were also the epitome of professional and I would trust them with my family anytime!

Best spot to dive in Puerto Morelos. After visiting several shops, I felt a very good vibe into Alan and Ursula place. They are a lovely couple, caring about making your experience unforgettable. I first went to the bull sharks with Ursula, a passioned biologist which taught me a lot about the marine life. I then decided to explore the cenotes, with Alan, which made me feel super comfortable despite the limited number of dives I had made in the past. ++ for their ecological consciousness, not using plastic bottles, the delicious tacos, and their kindness. Mil gracias chicos!

Alan and Ursula are wonderful to dive with. My girlfriend and I spent our trip with them diving cenotes, seeing the bull sharks, and exploring the local reef. They make a wonderful team that are truly passionate about diving and marine awareness. We will absolutely be returning and diving with them again! Note to Alan and Ursula: If you two ever make it up north to WA, drysuit certifications are on me lol!

Fantastic experience with Kraken Scuba!! My husband and I went on two separate dives in Dec with Alan. The first day was a two tank dive to a cenote where we ate a quick bite in between dives provided by the shop. The second day dive was to an area frequented by bull sharks as well as to a second tank dive to a nearby coral reef where we saw great marine life including schools of fish, a turtle, and several eel. We did not have transportation during our stay and Alan came to pick us up both days and dropped us off. Can’t recommend the shop enough! Great organization and amazing diving experience! My husband and I always feel incredibly safe when diving with Alan who is very knowledgeable and experienced!

Kraken rocks! We had a great 2 tank session with Alan on the C56 wreck and Fish Market sites in Puerto Morelos. Alan and Ursula are super knowledgeable about the sites and sea life. And they’re great people and a lot of fun to be around. Most importantly, Alan is a super safe DM. Highly recommended!!

When Diving in Mexico the only person I dive with is Alan(aka Banana) His knowledge and understanding of diving in both the open water and Cenotes is amazing! He makes sure your dives are dives you will always remember! 100% would recommend him and his wife!

I was visiting Cancun from Canada and completed my Rescue Dive Course with Alan and Ursula. They are the cutest couple, I felt right at home with them! They are both very knowledgeable about diving and are excellent instructors. They also provided transportation to and from my hotel for my three days of diving. If you’re in Cancun area and looking for a shop to dive with or to complete any course from Discovery Scuba to Specialties, I highly recommend Scuba Kraken! I did my PADI open diver certificate with Ursula and can only recommend this diving center! Ursula is a marine biologist and is not only able to answer any questions regarding marine life, but is also very patient and kind when it comes to the theoretical and practical training part of the open water course. It’s visible how much she enjoys her job and is providing a safe and fun environment to learn diving! Also, she was capturing the moments of our first dives together on camera, which is a great memory to look back ☺️

I cannot say enough good things about Alan and Ursula of Scuba Kraken. I've been diving for around 30 years and have interacted with dive outfits all over the world. Alan and Ursula are among the most friendly, professsional, kind, and organized people in the business. Whether it was my interests as an experienced diver, or those of my two daughters (who took their open water classes from Alan), this team answered every question, met every challenge with a smile. My girls got the highest of quality instruction, learning to dive safe, and have fun. For a good time diving on the Maya Riviera, absolutely call Scuba Kraken!

Great diving with Ursula, everything was arranged perfectly. Ursula (marine biologist) speaks perfectly English. Communication is quick and to the point. Prices are very reasonable. She waited for us already in the boat next to the pier. All equipment was excellent and well arranged and prepared, they even took mask and flippers for my non scuba diving part of the family to use from the neach near Ojo del Aqua. Ursula took my son and me (with captain Elario/Larry) to a spot name the Aquarium for a diving of 46 minutes. Beautiful coral, lots of lobsters, stingrays, and other fish in every color you can imagine. Really special. Ursula is a very friendly person with vast knowledge of the marine life! Wouldn't hesitate to go diving with Scuba Kraken again! Highly recommended!!

Best instructors ever !! If you are looking to go scuba in the Riviera Maya come to dive with Scuba Kraken. This was our amazing experience with them. Alan and Ursula Thank you guys !! We ( me and my husband ) went to Puerto Morelos and did a discovery scuba with Alan and Ursula. Soon after realized we wanted to do it more often and decided to go for our certification. Alan and Ursula have a truly one stop shop for all your scuba, snorkeling or any type of desire water recreational sports needs. They have such of amazing network that all you have to do is talk to them and they will make everything possible to make your time with them worth every penny spent. Not only did they had all the necessary tools (classroom materials, guidance and diving equipment) They go way beyond expectations giving us the feeling as if we were doing this in the USA Ursula is a Marine Biologist who is deeply committed to maintaining a heathy ocean and not only offers classes but she passes on knowledge safety guidance that made us feel like we were learning from the best and safety is her #1 priority, for us as divers and for the reefs she took us ( only after we were certified). Alan impressive teaching skills made us feel safe , allowing us to enjoy the dive with the peace of mind that we were surrounded by absolute professionals. He made everything feel logical whenever we had questions as students and always happy to help whenever we had difficulty understanding something. Thank you both for such amazing hospitality we are coming to dive with you both sooner than you know.

We did a wreck and a reef dive with Alan and Ursula. They speak good english took their time explaining us the dives and the equipment was in good shape. We felt really comfortable with them.

As a first time scuba diver, Allen’s training was simple, clear, and I felt like I was in good hands. He gave me Vaseline to help the mask seal around my mustache. We were in Puerto Morelos. During the dive, he took us to a spot to see turtles (we saw 2 big ones). We saw 2 rays and a manta ray, plus tons of colorful fish. I am thankful for his professional and fun style. Next time I scuba dive in Cancun, he’ll be the first instructor I call.

My family and I have thoroughly enjoyed every scuba excursion we have had with Alan, he has always been so pleasant in his leading, training, teaching and overall just spending time with us! He took us to Cozumel and puerto morelos the last 2 times my family came to Tulum/ Cancun in the past 3 years. We saw several animals, rays, turtles, different fish and schools of fish! We always look forward to scuba diving with Alan! I could not recommend this more, your experience (whether first time or experienced diver) will be worth it with Alan and Ursula!
