About this tour

Master your buoyancy and become an underwater Ninja

Like astronauts, scuba divers operate in a zero gravity state when they maintain neutral buoyancy. Neutral buoyancy is a condition where you neither sink nor float, and is as close to zero gravity as you can get on earth.

Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty,  teaches buoyancy control and proper weighting, helping you to achieve a better control of your body in the water and a perfect trim while diving.

Only one day is required to carry out the course, where a class and two open water dives will take place. Here is a brief description of how the course is developed:

  1. Complete theoretical portion. This course includes both theoretical and practical component. It is necessarily to attend a class and read a book. This course will teach you:
    • Buoyancy concepts
    • Importance of proper weighting
    • Techniques for maintaining buoyancy
  1. Complete Confined Water Training. Practice buoyancy control techniques in a controlled environment, such as a pool or shallow water, like:
    • Adjusting your buoyancy using your BCD (buoyancy control device)
    • Performing skills like hovering and using breath control to maintain stability
  1. Complete Open Water Dives: Participate in two open water dives where you’ll apply the skills you learned in confined water.
  1. Demonstrate Skills: Show proficiency in buoyancy control and other related skills during the open water dives, under the supervision of your instructor.
  1. Receive Your Certification: After successfully completing the course requirements, you’ll receive your Peak Performance Buoyancy certification, which enhances your diving skills and comfort underwater.
