Have you ever seen those amazing underwater walls falling down and had the curiosity to go deeper?

There is a sense of mystique and adventure to deep diving! The best way to have a full experience of the variety of landscapes offered by the ocean is to dive into it. Safety procedures and techniques for this type of dives are crucial. This course will teach you techniques and skills for deep dives like this (18-40 m / 60-130 ft), and how to manage narcosis and emergency decompression procedures.

Two days are required to complete this course. Four dives will be done in depths between 18 m / 60 ft and 40 m / 130 ft.

Here is a brief description of this activity and the steps we will follow to get your certification:

1. Check the prerequisites: Ensure you meet the prerequisites:

• • A minimum age (15 or older)
  • An Advanced Open Water certification or equivalent

2. Enroll in a Deep Diver Course: Sign up for the deep diver specialty course with Scuba Kraken.
3. Complete theoretical portion. This course includes both theoretical and practical component. It is necessarily to attend a class and read a book. Some of the topics cover are: The physiological effects of deep diving, dive planning and safety considerations and equipment considerations for deep dives
4. Complete Open Water Deep Dives. The course requires four open water dives to demonstrate your deep diving skills, to depths of 18-40 meters (60-130 feet).
5. Receive Your Certification. Once you complete all course requirements, you’ll receive your deep diving certification.
6. Plan Your Deep Dives. After certification, start planning your deep dives with a buddy, using proper dive planning techniques.

During four dives with a PADI Instructor, you’ll practice descents, buoyancy and safety stops. Through hands-on exercises, you’ll discover how deep dives affect color, physical objects and your brain.

* Consider Additional Training: Look into further specialties that complement deep diving, like wreck or night diving.

Diver Level:

Advanced Open Water Diver or higher.

Maximum depth:

130 ft/ 40 meters.
