Learn how the gas mixture affects your dive time

This specialty focuses on teaching the student how to use the different enriched air mixtures between 22% to 40% oxygen. This course will take approximately two hours in a classroom setting with theories and practical exercises. You will have the opportunity to apply the new skill set learned at the end of the day by scheduling a dive combo of your choice.

The minimum age to enroll in this course is 12 years old and you must be an open water diver.

The Enriched Air Certification requires just two hours to complete the theoretical lesson and you will be ready to apply your new gas mixture knowledge. To get the Enriched Air certification, we will follow these steps:

1. Complete the theory. You will attend classroom session and read a book. Some of the topics cover are: The benefits and risks of diving with Enriched Air, Oxygen exposure and Maximum Operating Depth (MOD), proper gas analysis and equipment considerations
2. Learn about Equipment. Understand the specific equipment needed for Enriched Air diving, including proper tank labeling and oxygen cleaning procedures.
3. Practice with Equipment. Practice analyzing Enriched Air tanks and setting up your equipment.
4. Receive Your Certification. After completing the course requirements, you’ll receive your Enriched Air certification!
5. Plan Your Enriched Air Dives. Once certified, you can start planning Enriched Air dives. Always check your dive tables or computer for proper dive planning.
