About this tour

There are four shipwrecks along the Mayan Riviera and exploring them is one of the most breath taking activities.

During this course you will have the opportunity to know and examine at least one shipwreck, learning special techniques, how to avoid common problems and about the importance of this artificial environments.

To get this certification, we will follow these steps:

1. Check the prerequisites: Ensure you meet the prerequisites:

• • A minimum age (15 or older)
  • An Advanced Open Water certification or equivalent

2. Enroll in a Wreck Diver Course: Sign up for the wreck diver specialty course with Scuba Kraken.
3. Complete theoretical portion. This course includes both theoretical and practical component. It is necessarily to attend a class and read a book. This course will teach you:

• • • Wreck diving techniques and safety procedures
    • Planning dives to wrecks
    • Navigation around wreck sites
    • Hazard recognition (e.g., entanglement, overhead environments)

4. Complete Open Water wreck Dives. Successfully complete the required dives (four), demonstrating your ability to safely navigate and explore wreck sites.
5. Obtain Your Certification. After meeting all course requirements, you’ll receive your wreck diving certification, allowing you to dive on wrecks within the guidelines of your training.
6. Continue Diving: Regularly practice wreck diving skills and consider further advanced training to enhance your knowledge and capabilities.

* Consider Additional Training: Look into further specialties that complement wreck diving, like deep or night diving.

Advanced Open Water Diver.

Maximum depth:

130 ft/ 40 meters.
