About this tour

This course is the next step in a diver’s development, as it describes self-help and support techniques for other divers. An elemental Scuba Diving Certification

As divers we know that the Rescue Course is one of the most important, even for those who only want to remain as recreational divers. Along this course you will learn how to help and assist in case of emergency and what better if everyone you dive with has knowledge of these procedures.

This course is designed to teach divers how to prevent and manage diving emergencies effectively. It focuses on developing the skills and knowledge necessary to respond to various situations that may arise underwater or during a dive.

To get this certification, we will follow these steps:

  1. Check the prerequisites: Ensure you meet the prerequisites:
  • To complete the Rescue Diver Course at least two days are required. During the first day the confined water session will be done. For the second day we will dive twice in an open water reef (s)
  • Minimum age 12 years old
  • An Adventure diver certification or equivalent
  • First aid course (You can book this activity with us too!)  
  1. Complete theoretical portion. This course includes both theoretical and practical component. It is necessarily to attend a class and read a book.
  2. Confined Water Practice: In confined water training for a rescue diving course, you’ll focus on developing essential skills for managing diving emergencies in a controlled environment (like a pool or shallow water area). You’ll learn how to assess situations calmly and effectively to provide assistance while minimizing risk.
  3. Complete Open Water Dives: Participate in two open water dives where you’ll apply the skills you learned in confined water. Each dive an scenario that simulates real-life emergencies will be presented and you will have to solve it using the acquire learning. 
  1. Pass the exams: Successfully complete the written exam.
  1. Receive Your Certification: Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certification that indicates your proficiency in rescue diving techniques. This certification is valuable for divers who want to enhance their skills and contribute to the safety of their diving community.

Overall, a rescue diving course equips divers with essential skills that can save lives and improve overall dive safety!

Adventure Diver Certification with Underwater Navigation as speciality.

Here’s an overview of what you can expect from our Rescue diving course:

  1. Recognizing and Preventing Emergencies: Learn to identify potential risks and hazards during dives. Understand how to create a safer diving environment through proper planning and communication.
  1. Self-Rescue Techniques: Develop skills to manage your own safety, including recognizing signs of stress or panic and implementing strategies to calm yourself.
  1. Rescuing Others: Techniques for assisting divers in distress, including various rescue methods for different scenarios. Practice towing, providing air to an out-of-air diver, and conducting surface rescues.
  1. Emergency Response Skills: How to perform effective first aid and CPR. Understanding the importance of emergency oxygen administration for dive-related injuries.
  1. Scenario-Based Training: Participate in simulated rescue scenarios to practice skills in a controlled environment. Work as part of a team to manage and respond to emergencies effectively.
  1. Dive Planning and Management: Learn about planning dives with safety considerations in mind, including buddy checks and contingency plans.
